Yes, we are still alive and well in Ghana!   We traveled north out of Accra and did not have internet access for 2 days.  We do have some stories to tell now that we are back!!


Let's first start with the ride to the Volta Region.  It was quite amazing to see the country outside of the capital. Travel is not easy even on main highways......lots of potholes and speed bumps.....and HAWKERS (people trying to sell you things!)

You can buy ANYTHING right from your car window.  What do you need?  toilet paper? phone cards?  apples?  maps?   bread?   air freshener?   harmonica?  
When you are on the highway, there are literally hundreds of people trying to get you to buy anything and everything!
