Yesterday we traveled down to Cape Coast.  The driving is unbelievable.  Driving down roads so congested that you barely move at all.  Bumper to bumper traffic......along 2 lane roads.... with people passing each other constantly.  It is amazing that we do not see hundreds of head on collisions.
Cars just seem to move out of the way making the road a temporary 3 lane road rather than just the 2 lanes.   Villages pop up every few miles....with speedbumps in the road forcing cars to slow down.  Slowing down also usually means hawkers showing up at your car windows... selling you things.   So, then you have to drive while people are on all sides of your car.

Today we saw people voluntarily directing traffic through intersections and then asking for money as you drove through.  I know I have already posted a few pictures of hawkers... but here are a few more. One guy got mad today and started hitting our car because we did not want our window washed.

We are so appreciative of Ali driving us everywhere and maneuvering so well between all the obstacles!
