So, dear friends and family....  when we are in Accra, we are staying at Ali's home.  It is very nice with all the conveniences....including air conditioning, hot showers, and clean safe water to drink.  When we were in the Volta Region we spent our first night away in Akosombo.  It was truly a beautiful setting on the Volta River.
After a long day of driving and then a dinner by the water,  we headed toward our chalet for a night's rest.   However, upon entering the room, Kathi saw a lizard run across the sheets on the bed and under a pillow!   We stripped everything off the bed trying to find the lizard before we went to bed.   We did find it eventually hiding between the bed and the wall.
Fortunately, Laurie is not at all skittish about things like snakes and lizards.  She grabbed a washcloth and grabbed the lizard and took it outside.  We decided to check the room for any other invited guests....and there was another lizard up on the wall.....too high to grab.  Laurie spent several minutes trying to knock it down with a bar of soap....and then finally took down  the shower curtain rod and hit the lizard down.....whereupon it quickly ran to the wall and hid under the woodwork!!!!

We waited, but he never returned....at least not that we know of!!!!

There are lizards everywhere we go in Ghana.

We couldn't resist taking  photos of some of them!
